仕事内容
We are seeking an Automotive Connectivity Test Engineer to be based in Tokyo, working within the automotive industry. The position involves managing Connectivity and V2X testing on test benches and vehicles for an Automotive OEM in Japan throughout the entire Verification & Validation cycle of multiple projects. Key responsibilities include installing, updating, and calibrating vehicle infotainment and communication modules, preparing and configuring test environments, and ensuring readiness for testing. You will be responsible for creating and updating test cases based on feature lists and specifications, executing all connectivity and V2X test cases, documenting test results, investigating issues using vehicle diagnostic and log/trace tools, and creating tickets in our system for each issue identified.
Effective communication is a core role requirement, as you will need to work closely with Test Managers and development teams to investigate, solve, and verify fixes for identified issues. A strong background is necessary, including 2 to 5 years of experience in vehicle connectivity or V2X testing for automotive OEMs, and comprehensive knowledge of vehicle infotainment/navigation functions, vehicle architecture, and components. Proficiency in electrical engineering, vehicle electric and electronic technology, vehicle diagnosis, and testing tools is essential. Familiarity with ticketing and documentation management systems such as JIRA and Confluence is required, as is an understanding of software testing processes. Bilingual proficiency in English (business level) and Japanese, including the skills of writing, listening, speaking, and reading, is mandatory for this role.
