仕事内容

As a Senior Design Engineer for Seating, we are responsible for supporting automotive seating design and development at a client location. Our role involves liaising with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives, and coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment, and information to ensure seamless communication and that projects meet customer requirements and deadlines. We act as the primary point of contact for project status communication to all participants and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.

Our duties also entail using CATIA V5/NX software for surfacing, 3D modeling, detailing, and assembly, as well as conducting packaging studies, layout studies, and regulations studies alongside surrounding parts to ensure standards and requirements are met. A key aspect of our role is to conduct quality reviews to maintain desired quality levels without schedule delays.

We are expected to have over 10 years of experience in automotive product design and development, with a minimum of 5 years specifically in automotive seat design involving materials like resin, metal, electrical, and electronics. Proficiency in Japanese and business-level English communication is required for effective interaction with both local and global teams. Additionally, experience in project management and handling customer relations is crucial. Knowledge of Team Center, CAE, DFM, DFA, and DFMEA is advantageous, and a background in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
