仕事内容
As an Onsite Product Development Engineer, we will work directly under the Japan Automotive delivery head and will be stationed at the client's location. Our primary responsibility is to act as the Onsite Lead, facilitating communication between the client and the offshore team to ensure project success. We will coordinate project scheduling with all stakeholders, monitor the progress, and update the client accordingly. Our responsibilities include the design and development of engine components such as cylinder heads, intake/exhaust systems, and cooling systems, as well as overseeing program planning and tier coordination.
We will be expected to use CAD software, such as CATIA V5 or NX, for tasks like surfacing, 3D modeling, detailing, and assembly. This role requires conducting packaging and layout studies of surrounding parts, preparing part and assembly drawings following customer standards, and comprehending CAE analysis to communicate effectively with offshore engineers. We will correlate CAE results with physical testing outcomes and implement necessary measures for any discrepancies, whether provisional or permanent.
Management responsibilities will involve communicating with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives, coordinating schedules, resources, equipment, and information with the offshore team. We must maintain comprehensive documentation of projects, plans, and reports, ensuring all requirements and standards are met through quality reviews. Strong expertise in project management, customer interaction, and offshore coordination is crucial, along with proficiency in Japanese and preferably English. Additionally, we require experience in managing the Product Lifecycle and hands-on testing and problem-solving skills.
