仕事内容
As Engagement Managers at AWS, we lead teams of AWS consultants, partners, and clients to deliver AWS cloud products and services that help our customers achieve their business goals. We manage engagements focusing on the full suite of AWS customer solutions, enabling partners and customers to overcome constraints and accelerate their transition to AWS. Our role requires collaboration with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to deeply understand our customers' needs and ensure we exceed expectations in delivery.
Our responsibilities include applying formal project management methodologies to enterprise-level engagements and utilizing our deep knowledge of best practices to manage complex projects effectively. We work closely with stakeholders to analyze goals, create actionable plans, and drive AWS team members to meet these goals within client constraints. We proactively seek to improve process efficiencies and make decisions aligned with policies and business objectives.
We manage project lifecycles to ensure successful delivery, which involves developing governance plans, project schedules, and team goals. This includes defining success criteria, project milestones, and budgets, while actively managing issues, risks, and action items. Our ability to work under pressure, challenge and direct teams, and manage client expectations is crucial to our success.
Effective communication is vital; we interface with a range of stakeholders, including senior leadership and project resources. We oversee project communications, understand team dynamics, and adapt to environmental or cultural nuances. We are team players who build relationships across functions, manage stakeholders in a matrix environment, and have negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities.
Overall, our role as Engagement Managers at AWS is to drive strategic thinking, apply business and financial acumen, develop business cases, and ensure our teams deliver results that exceed customer expectations.

Has managed engagements using both Waterfall and Agile/Iterative methodologies. Has lead Agile teams as a ScrumMaster using the Scrum methodology.
